You don't need to chase a fixed number of glasses. Your body is good at telling you when it needs water — pale-yellow urine is a reasonable everyday check.
Make it easy instead of strict: keep a bottle where you work, have a glass with each meal, and lean on water-rich foods like fruit, soups, and salads. Caffeine and tea still count toward your day.
If it's hot or you're moving a lot, drink a little more. That's the whole system.
